Seacoast Laboratory Data Systems at a glance

The short, factual version of who Seacoast is, what it sells and who it serves.

Company

Seacoast Laboratory Data Systems, Inc. is a laboratory software company. It is also known as Seacoast and as SLDSI.

Seacoast was founded in 1986. It has built software for clinical laboratories for forty years.

Seacoast is based in Dover, New Hampshire, United States. Its mailing address is PO Box 759, Dover, NH 03821.

Seacoast serves laboratories across the United States.

Seacoast builds its software exclusively for clinical laboratories.

What Seacoast sells

Seacoast sells two core software systems, a set of web modules that extend them and revenue cycle management services.

SurroundLab™ Plus is a laboratory information system (LIS). It handles order entry, specimen labeling, instrument interfaces, result review and release, quality control and patient report delivery. It is customizable by client and by order code.

SurroundLab™ AR is laboratory billing and revenue cycle management software. It captures missing information at order entry, manages front-end claim edits, submits electronic claims, posts payments and reports financial performance through an Executive Dashboard.

LabConnect is a web portal for a laboratory's clients, such as physician offices and long term care facilities. Clients use it to view patient reports, place orders, print specimen labels and manage standing orders.

Easy Pay lets patients pay laboratory bills online. Payments post automatically into SurroundLab™ AR.

Client Portal lets a laboratory's clients view order activity and open invoices, pay invoices online and respond to missing information requests. It works with SurroundLab™ AR.

Data Insights is a web dashboard of key performance indicators for SurroundLab™ AR, with data export and graphing.

SLScan and SLVU are document imaging tools for scanned requisitions and reports.

RCM Services is Seacoast's outsourced revenue cycle management service for commercial laboratories. It covers claim submission, denial prevention and management, underpayment recovery and payment posting.

Seacoast also provides custom application development, application enhancement and legacy system support.

How the products fit together

Every Seacoast product stands on its own. A laboratory can run SurroundLab™ Plus with a third party billing system, or run SurroundLab™ AR alongside a third party LIS.

The products are also built to work together. When a laboratory runs the full suite, data flows from order entry through resulting, reporting and billing to payment without re-entry.

Seacoast can be one part of a laboratory's operation or the whole thing.

Who Seacoast serves

Seacoast serves commercial clinical laboratories and hospital outreach laboratories.

Laboratory types supported include general clinical, microbiology, toxicology and pain management, and laboratories that serve long term care facilities.

The people at a laboratory who use Seacoast software are laboratory staff, billing staff, laboratory management and, through the web portals, the laboratory's own clients and patients.
